general information
Located in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, you will find a group of 15 tiny islands which include Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Aitu and Mangaia, collectively known as the Cook Islands. There is more than 1000 years of Polynesian culture mixed into these beautiful islands. You will be swept away by Rarotonga's stunning mountains, remote jungle and white beaches. Aitutaki has incredible marine life including massive clams and rainbow-coloured fish. Make sure you don't miss the limestone caves of Aitu and the great cliffs of Mangaia. The traditional villages on the islands of Mau'ke and Mitiaro are where you can have a look around the black pearl fields of Pernhyn and Manikiki, before you head back to the Muri Lagoon for some amazing snorkelling, windsurfing and kayaking.
